PREREQUISITE FOR ENROLLING
To enter our college we require a high school diploma, a GED or the student must pass an "ability to benefit test," which is the college admittance test that demonstrates that the student can benefit from the training. In that case, we provide referrals to one of the local colleges that offer these placement tests and the student must pass the test to enroll. Students must be at least 17 years of age to enroll or past the age of compulsory education. Students to be admitted on the "ability to benefit" are encouraged to prepare for the GED examination and take the examination. Transfer fees from other institutions are are not charged.
SCHOOL CALENDAR AND CLASS SCHEDULE
The school offers classes for all courses during the entire year, and any eligible person may enroll bi-monthly starting in January of each year that the school is in session. Classes begin at 8:30 A.M. and end at 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Most State and Federal holidays are observed. The school is closed approximately 2 weeks at the end of the year for the Winter holiday.

SCHEDULE OF TUITION AND FEES 
Our Cosmetology Course (a 1500 clock hour course) tuition fee for both Round Rock and Temple campuses is *$8,500.00.
The kit and registration fee for the Round Rock campus is *$475.00 and for the Temple campus is *$350.00.
(The kit and registration fee is in addition to our tuition at our Round Rock campus).

Our Nail Tech Course (a 600 hour course) tuition fee for both Round Rock and Temple campuses is: *$3,500.00. The kit and registration fee for the Round Rock campus is *$475.00 and for the Temple campus is *$350.00.

GRADING SYSTEM
Grades are maintained on a numerical basis. Theory and Practical grades are recorded separately and any grade below 70 is failing. Students are given their grades at the end of each month. Practical grades include performance on clinic floor and are graded on a pass/fail basis.

PROGRESSION REPORTS
Written progress records are maintained by the school. These are reported to each student at the end of each month.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Upon completion of training, a student will be given a certificate that indicates that the program of training has been satisfactorily completed.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students will be eligible for the State Examination once they have (i) completed the required hours of training according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation curriculum, (ii) paid for all of their hours and supplies due the school, (iii) made satisfactory progress in their theory, practical, and attendance grades, and (iv) completed at least three State mini-board pratical exams.

INTERRUPTION FOR UNSATISFACTORY PROGRESS

Grades
Any student who has a failing average in theory or practical work will be placed on probation for 30 days. Such student may be dismissed should their grades continue to remain below 70. A student dismissed for unsatisfactory progress may be permitted to re-enroll after 30 days from his/her dismissal date provided a counseling report of the faculty indicates that the student has the ability and desire to satisfactorily complete the course. 

Attendance
Students are required to sign an attendance agreement with the college on entry and may be put on probation for 30 days if their attendance is not as agreed. If after 30 days of probation a student continues to have unsatisfactory attendance, that student may be dismissed from college. The school administration may excuse a student under certain circumstances. Students on probation are deemed to be making satisfactory progress during the probation period but must be making satisfactory progress by the end of the next payment period to continue receiving financial aid disbursements.

SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
At the present time no scholarships are given and no tuition may be waived.

DESCRIPTION OF SPACE AVAILABLE, FACILITIES
The schools are divided into a reception area, office, dispensary, theory room, practical classroom, facial area, clinic, locker room, breakroom, supply rooms and rest rooms for both male and female students. Students are encouraged to visit the campus before enrolling.

ATTENDANCE TIME
We only accept full-time students.  Attendance is evaluated on the base attendance of 120 hours a month. Student must attend an average 67% of 120 hours a month (82 hours a month) to be deemed to be making satisfactory progress in attendance for Federal Student Aid purposes.  Students using their GI entitlement must attend 22 hours a week to be considered full time for VA funding. Attendance will be checked weekly.  Students attending less than 22 hours a week will be fundeded on a less than full time schedule by the VA.  Students may change from full time to less than full time and vice-versa only two times during their enrollment period.  Excused absences are considered in calculation of the school's attendance policy.  NACCAS, our accrediting agency has approved this policy.

STUDENT CONDUCT
Any action by a student that interferes with normal class room activity or clinic operation will be cause for dismissal. A student dismissed for misconduct will be furnished a written statement that outlines the reason for such action. A student who is dismissed for misconduct will not be permitted to re-enroll.

PREVIOUS CREDIT EVALUATION AND TRANSFER POLICY
The school maintains written records of the previous education and training of each student. Students may not get full credit for previous training. The school will evaluate previous training and give students credit for education that may be applicable to the situation. Students re-entering from a previous enrollment and students entering with credit from another institution will not pay for hours of training accepted by this institution.

If a student is enrolled and attending classes and then withdraws, the TDLR refund policy below will apply. In the event a registration fee is charged, it will not be more than 15% of the contract price for the course. No termination fee will be charged.

POLICY OF RIGHT TO ACCESS
Student files are private and no information contained in such files will be released to any person other than the student (and his or her parents if under age 18) without written authorization by that student. FERPA grants the school the right to disclose student information to certain officials without consent. Please refer to the Federal Student Aid Policies and Procedures Manual for further information.

PELL GRANTS
The school only participates in the Pell Grant program of the Department of Education. Any student who wishes to apply may obtain an application from the Office of Financial Aid at the college or may apply online at www.fafsa.com. Students receiving Pell Grants should check with the Financial Aid Office to find out amount of disbursements and approximate schedule for funding of financial aid.

GRADUATE PLACEMENT POLICY
The school offers no guarantee of placement after graduation. Graduates may register with the Dean of Students and your name will be given to salon owners. Employment recruiters visit the school from time to time.

CLASS SCHEDULE
All Cosmetology training must be done under the supervision of a licensed instructor. Each student must receive 20% of the required hours of instruction before engaging in the practice of cosmetology on the general public. Student's theory class is held each Monday from 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM. Practical training is every Monday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Students receive two breaks from training each day in addition to their lunch break.
